Fire chief: Mobile home "total loss" after morning fire in Pelzer

PELZER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Officials with the South Greenville Fire Department say a mobile home is a "total loss" after a fire Saturday morning. 

Fire officials said they responded a call around 10 a.m. on Burbank Drive. 

According to the fire department, a log fell out of a wood burning stove and set the mobile home on fire. 

One person was inside at the time of the fire, but was not injured, the fire department said. 

Fire officials said the damage to the home was extensive. 

The Red Cross said they are assisting the homeowner.
