A few temperatures swings are ahead as a generally unsettled weather pattern takes shape.
Despite the sunshine today, a biting northerly wind will make it feel quite cold through the day. Expect highs in the 30s across the mountains with mid 40s in the Upstate.
High pressure settles in overhead tonight, so temperature will accordingly drop well down in the 20s.
Wednesday and most of Thursday will be nice ahead of the next system Thursday night. A rain/snow mix in the mountains changes to snow overnight into early Friday, with accumulations again possible in areas near the TN/NC state line.
The Upstate will see showers early Friday, possibly mixing with a few snowflakes before the precipitation ends around sunrise. The afternoon will be sunny and dry.
Saturday stays dry and nice ahead of the NEXT system on Sunday. This one could again bring the chance of Upstate rain and mountain snow…stay tuned!
