Greer church to host prom for people with special needs

GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Fairview Baptist Church announced that they will be hosting the Night to Shine prom for people with special needs.

The church says that it will be one of 450 churches across the country participating in this year's event which is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. The prom will take place on Friday, Feb. 9 and is open to people with special needs ages 14 and up for free.

All Night to Shine guests will enter through a red carpet complete with paparazzi. The event will have hair and makeup stations as well shoe shining areas. In addition, Night to Shine will feature limousine rides, catered dinner, karaoke, and a dance floor. The prom includes a designated Respite Room for parents and caretakers. Each guest will be crowned king and queen.

The Tim Tebow Foundations committed over $3.5 million dollars to help participating church's host the event which began in 2015.
