Cool days continue with mostly rain Sunday, followed by a warming trend into next week!
The sky stays mostly sunny through the day with Upstate highs reaching the mid to upper 40s. The mountains see much colder conditions with highs struggling to get to freezing, and with blustery northerly winds, wind chills could be in the teens much of the day.
Tonight, the entire area sees a hard freeze with Upstate lows dropping into the low and mid 20s with the mountains bottoming out in the teens.
Saturday will be dry with a few clouds and highs in the 40s area-wide. Clouds continue increasing Saturday night, and light sleet or freezing drizzle is possible after 4 AM in northeast GA into the northern Upstate (north of I-85). This will change to all rain with temperatures climbing above freezing after 7 AM.
In the mountains, a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain could begin around 4 AM and last through at least mid-morning before changing to all rain by Noon.
Showers will stick around for much of Sunday afternoon with highs in the 40s. Next week looks mostly clear and seasonably cool through Tuesday, then rain and possibly a few storms return for Wednesday.
