GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Keep your eyes peeled - Greenville police say counterfeit bills are being passed around the area.

Officials with Greenville Police Department said Thursday that suspects had attempted to pass fake $100 bills at several area businesses. They posted photos of the fake bills on Twitter, noting that, "Real legal U.S. tender does not read "For Cinematic Use Only" or "For Motion Picture Use Only."

Officers said there have been at least four cases of counterfeit money being passed in the Central Business District over the last week. The counterfeit $100 bills look very similar to legal tender, but include the words "FOR MOTION PICTURE USE ONLY" on the front, and "FOR CINEMATIC USE ONLY" on the back. The word "COPY" is also visible on both sides of the fake bills.

Police also shared photos of two suspects who they say presented fake bills at Caviar and Bananas. Anyone with information is asked to call (864) 271-5333 or 23-CRIME.
