GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Firefighters responded to a mobile home fire with injuries Sunday morning in Greenville County.

The blaze took place on the 900 block of Glassy Road a little before 4 a.m.

Robert Staples, Fire Chief of the Glassy Mountain Fire Department, said the mobile home fire started in the living room, possibly near the couch.

Two adult males were inside the home at the time of the fire. One was asleep and the other was awake and woke up the other occupant, officials said. Both of the occupants got out with minimum injuries. One occupant had a cut to his hand from breaking a window of the mobile home to escape the fire.

Chief Staples said the home had no working smoke alarms.

The blaze was contained to the living room and was put out quickly, he said.

The living room sustained extensive damage and the rest of the home has extensive smoke and heat damage, Chief Staples confirmed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
