PICKENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Authorities said a missing elderly woman with Alzheimer's disease has been found and is being reunited with her family.

The Sumter County Sheriff's Office said 75-year-old Judith Cole left Sumter around 7:30 a.m. on Monday. Deputies said she may have been spotted around 2:15 p.m. in Pickens, South Carolina.

Investigators said her credit card was used at a business in Pickens in Monday and said she spoke to someone at the store asking for directions back to Sumter. Family members said she may have been disoriented.

On Tuesday morning, deputies said her credit car was used in Birmingham, Alabama. Investigators hoped that she would be traveling back toward Atlanta to take I-85 or I-20 to get home.

Shortly before 11 a.m., Cole was located in Mississippi. Deputies said she was in good health and will be reunited with her family.
