GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County Schools said all 6,000 of the county’s seventh graders will visit the third annual Middle School Career Fair on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of Career and Technical Education month in South Carolina.

The school district said companies representing all six of the Upstate’s major career pathways will be available for students to meet and discuss career possibilities.

Those six pathways are:

  • Arts, Communication, Information
  • Business, Marketing, Management
  • Environmental and Agricultural Systems
  • Health Science
  • Human Resources and Services
  • Industrial, Manufacturing and Engineering

FOX Carolina's meteorologist Ben Dorenbach and operations manager Corey Moss greeted students at the career fair, offering information about the broadcasting industry and handing out prizes.

The school district said eighth grade students will be required to work with a guidance counselor and their parents to develop an Individual Graduation Plan during the month's activities. The plan includes picking high school electives that can help students meet their career goals.
