Dispatch: Deputies called to investigate 2 reports of suspicious packages in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson County emergency dispatchers said deputies were called out to investigate reports of two suspicious packages along roadways Tuesday morning.

The first was reported on US 29 at Masters Boulevard around 5:51 a.m.

The second was reported at 6:07 a.m. on Broadway Lake Road at Paul’s Landing.

Deputies had cleared both of those scenes by 6:45 a.m.

Dispatchers did not know what deputies found at the locations but said no injuries were reported.

The FBI and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office are investigating two packages recently found in the county.

In the first incident, deputies said a man was injured when a device inside a wicker basket detonated.

The second suspicious package was found on Richland Drive near US 29 on Monday.
