Asheville police investigating after man found shot in leg

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Asheville police said they are investigating after a man was shot early Tuesday morning.

Police said they were called to Wilbar Avenue in the Lee Walker Heights community around 1:41 a.m.

Officers arrived to find the 37-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

No suspects have been named and police ask anyone with information to call  the Asheville Police Department at (828) 252-1110 or Crime Stoppers at (828) 255-5050.
