Deputies ask for help identifying forgery suspect

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying a man who attempted to cash a fraudulent check at the Asheville Savings Bank on Smokey Park Highway.

Deputies said the incident happened on January 8.

The suspect tried to cash a check for $6,000.

Deputies ask anyone who can identify the forgery suspect to call the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office at (828) 250-6670, or Asheville-Buncombe Crime Stoppers at (828) 255-5050.
