Deputies: At least 2 armed suspects broke into home, tied up family, stole cash

TRAVELERS REST, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies said they are investigating after at least two armed suspects broke into a family’s home in Travelers Rest, tied the family up and demanded money.

The incident happened around 1:45 a.m. Monday at a home on Lauren Kay Road.

“Occupants inside the residence were awakened and confronted by at least 2 suspects armed with guns,” Sgt. Ryan Flood said. “The suspects held the residents at gunpoint, tied them up and then demanded cash.”

Flood said the suspects left the house with money and fled in a vehicle.

One of the victims suffered minor injuries.

Investigators are requesting that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers of Greenville at 864-23-CRIME.
