Spartanburg police search for 2 suspects after bank robbery

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg police said they are searching for two suspects after a bank was robbed Wednesday morning.

Police said the robbery happened around 10 a.m. at the United Community Bank on East Main Street.

Two men reportedly entered the bank in hooded sweatshirts and had their faces covered. 

One of the men went to the counter and another confronted an employee in a front office. The robber at the counter presented a blue bag and demanded cash.

The men fled on foot with cash in the lag. They were last seen running north on Montview Street. Police said they searched the area but believe the suspects fled in an unknown vehicle.

One male was wearing grey sweatpants, a dark hoodie and a mask. The other male appears to be wearing dark blue jeans, a dark hoodie and a mask.
