SLED: Woman arrested for embezzling from the Cherokee Co. Magistrate's Office

CHEROKEE COUNTY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

SLED says a woman has been arrested in connection with missing funds from the Cherokee County Magistrate's Office.

The agency said 49-year-old Angela Gregg Mabry was charged with embezzlement of public funds, value $10,000 or more. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. 

SLED said they investigated the case at the request of the magistrate's office. 

Mabry is currently being held at the Cherokee County Detention Center.
