LAURENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Laurens County Sheriff's Office K9's were able to receive body armor thanks to a donation.

The K9's, Annie and Sandy, now have bullet and stab protective vests.

The sheriff's office said the donation came from the non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9's. The organization was created to provide protect vests to dogs of law enforcement throughout the U.S.

The donation for one protective vest is $1,050.
