Greer police investigating single vehicle crash along Brushy Creek Road

GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greer Police Department is investigating a crash that injured 2 people late Wednesday night.

Lt. Patrick Fortenberry said officers responded to the crash on Brushy Creek Road near the intersection of Kingscreek Drive around 11:30 p.m.  He said a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche ran off the right side of the road and struck several trees.

A driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital with injuries. The passenger’s injuries are life threatening but Fortenberry said the driver is expected to recover.

The crash remains under investigation.

NOTE: We originally reported in error that the passenger's injuries were fatal.
