DHEC: Greenville County leads SC in flu cases

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

South Carolina’s Department of Health and Environmental Control said Greenville County was leading the state in flu cases, per the agency’s latest Flu Watch report.

DHEC said that during the week of January 28 to February 3 Greenville County saw 3,316 flu cases.

Greenville County was the only Upstate county with a high level of flu activity during that week.

The Upstate has seen 38 flu deaths, the highest flu death rate for the season in the state.

During that week, the state saw 22 deaths, bringing the total flue-related deaths of the season to 106.
