GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson said Thursday that a Greenville man was charged after investigators said he had been “engaged in sexually explicit communication and encouraged a minor victim to create and send sexually explicit images.”

Johnny Andrew Mattison Jr., 38, was arrested on January 30 on one count of sexual exploitation of a minor first degree and disseminating obscene material to a person under age 18.

If found guilty, Mattison could face up to 30 years in prison.

Mattison was being held Thursday at the Greenville County Detention Center on a $75,000 bond.
