GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Coroner Kent Dill has identified the victim of a fatal crash in Taylors Friday night.

Troopers said a 2004 Mercedes was traveling west on Old Rutherford Road as a 2015 GMC SUV was traveling east along the same road. SC Highway Patrol said the GMC SUV traveled left of center, striking the Mercedes in the left front.

The coroner said the GMC SUV rolled over on to the roof.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner said.

The victim was 76-year-old Walter Collins Robinson III of Taylors. The coroner's office listed the cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head and chest.

The case is being investigated by the SC Highway Patrol and Greenville County Coroner's Office.
