HENDERSONVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they've made an arrest in connection with a robbery at a Henderson County store Friday morning.

Officials with Henderson County Sheriff's Office said a robbery was reported at the El Charrito Tienda at the intersection of Dana Road and Upward Road around 9:56 a.m.

Deputies said a witness reported observing two males run to a gold Cadillac Escalade and drive off. The vehicle appears to have been stolen from a private residence and used in the robbery, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the Escalade was found abandoned on Pottery Terrace off of Staton Road.

Surveillance video shows the Escalade being followed by a smaller, dark-colored vehicle believed to be a Mazda 6, Nissan Maxima or similar vehicle.

On Saturday, deputies said they attempted to stop a vehicle near Union Hill Church Road that had been reported stolen earlier in the morning. Deputies said the vehicle fled from deputies and then crashed.

The driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot, said deputies, but was then apprehended. Deputies said the driver dropped evidence during the foot chase that linked him to the stolen Cadillac Escalade from the armed robbery at El Charrito Tienda on February 9.

After giving several false names, deputies said the driver was identified as Cele Leyva-Hernandez, 18, or Neely Drive in Hendersonville. He's been charged with 2 counts of larceny of a vehicle, breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, robbery with a dangerous weapon and second degree kidnapping.

He remains in Henderson County jail on a $1,210,000 bond.

Detectives are still working to identify the second robbery suspect at this time.

Anyone who was near the Pottery Terrace, MacIntosh Lane or El Charrito locations and observed these vehicles or any suspicious activity or persons is asked to contact the Henderson County Sheriff's Office at (828) 697-4911.
