Plenty of temperature swings are ahead for the next five to seven days.
Mainly cloudy today with spotty light rain possible, but most areas stay dry with highs reaching the upper 50s to mid/upper 60s.
Late this afternoon and into the evening, a cold-air damming effect sets up…bringing extra low clouds, spotty drizzle, and cooler air. Overnight lows will drop into the 40s.
This “wedge” remains intact Tuesday, leaving cool and dreary conditions with highs in the upper 40s.
Wednesday, this wedge erodes and temperature recovers to the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Some showers are possible by evening.
Thursday offers up much warmer air with highs soaring into the 70s with a mostly cloudy sky.
Another cold front makes a push toward the area Friday, bringing another decent chance of rain by the afternoon and evening. Expect highs in the mid 60s to lower 70s.
The weekend looks mostly dry for now, though some showers could linger early Saturday and a few isolated showers could move in late Sunday. Seasonable temperatures are expected.
