GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville police said a man faces multiple charges after a fight led to a stabbing on February 9.

Police said the incident happened on Bethel Street.

Officers said Timothy Wilson, 41, and the victim, a 33-year-old man, got into a fight and then Wilson went to a neighbor’s house to call police. Officers said Wilson then went back to the victim’s residence and stated that police were outside for him. Then, Wilson is accused of grabbing the victim and holding him against the wall at knifepoint. During this scuffle, police said Wilson stabbed the victim in the chin and reached in the man’s pocket with the intent to rob him.

Police said Wilson was intoxicated when they arrived and had left a five-month-old baby alone during the incident.

According to online jail records, Wilson was charged with attempted robbery, assault and battery first degree, possession of a knife during a violent crime, and child neglect by the Greenville Police Department, and failure to pay child support by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
