Police: 1 arrested after chase in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

One person has been arrested after the Anderson Police Department and the Anderson County Sheriff's Office were involved in a chase with a vehicle on Monday night.

Dispatchers said the incident started in city limits when a driver was spotted in a vehicle reported stolen. Deputies joined in the pursuit when the chase moved into the county.

The pursuit ended on Plantation Road near East River.

Dispatchers said one person was in custody just before 7 p.m.

On Tuesday, police confirmed that James Madison Terry, 47 of Greer, was the suspect who had been arrested. Terry was charged with grand larceny greater than $2,000 and less than $10,000. Habitual traffic offender was also listed as one of his charges.
