BLACK MOUNTAIN, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A Black Mountain man was charged after McDowell County deputies said he led them on a two-county chase and crashes into two patrol cars.

Deputies said they charged Teddy Justin Rathbone, 27, with two counts of fleeing to elude arrest and one count each of driving while license revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving to endanger, driving left of center, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
On Feb. 11, deputies said they responded to Walmart in reference to a domestic dispute involving a gun. As they arrived on the scene, they spotted the Rathbone’s truck leaving the shopping center.
McDowell deputies pursued the truck onto I-40 eastbound and into Buncombe County, where deputies there deployed stop sticks.
The suspect took Exit 64 in Black Mountain and eventually made it to Flat Creek Road where he struck two patrol cars with deputies inside.

The truck stopped in a back yard and Rathbone was arrested.

No one was hurt.
