Upstate golfer Bill Haas released from hospital after deadly California crash

LOS ANGELES (FOX Carolina) -

Upstate golfer Bill Haas was hurt in a crash in California Tuesday evening, according to Golf Digest.

The periodical reports that the six-time PGA Tour Winner was in Pacific Palisades, CA to play in the Genesis Open.

The rollover crash involved a Ferrari, a BMW, and an SUV belonging to actor Luke Wilson.

Haas, 35, was riding in the Ferrari and the driver was killed, according to a KTLA report.

CNN reports that Haas was taken to an area hospital.

The AP later reported that Haas' injuries were not serious and that the golfer had been treated and released from the hospital as of Wednesday morning.

A 50-year-old woman in the other vehicle was hurt.

The Ferrari reportedly grazed Wilson's Toyota SUV before striking the BMW.

Gold Digest reports the crash happened a few miles from the country club where Haas was scheduled to play.

He has now withdrawn from the tournament.
