GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Troopers said all lanes of I-85 North were blocked Thursday morning at the I-385 bridge after a crash involving a tractor trailer.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m.

Troopers said a Fed Ex truck ran off the right side of the road, struck the guardrail, overturned, and got wedged under the I-385 bridge.

The truck driver was ejected from the vehicle and taken to the hospital.

Troopers said the driver was charged with driving too fast for conditions and not wearing a seatbelt.

Two other crashes occurred in the same area just after 6 a.m., according to the SC Highway Patrol website. Troopers said those crashes were unrelated.

By 7:30 a.m. one lane had reopened and troopers were diverting traffic down the collector/distributor lanes at the Woodruff Road exit and back onto I-85 the I-385 exits.

Northbound traffic was backed up beyond Mauldin Road due to the crash.

Troopers asked drivers to avoid the area, if possible, and be patient as the crash will take a while to clear.
