Florida high school football coach among victims killed in shooting

A high school football coach who FOX News reports was seen shielding students in Parkland, FL during the school shooting has died.

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School football team’s Twitter account tweeted that Aaron Feis had died early Thursday morning.

The tweet read: “It is with Great sadness that our Football Family has learned about the death of Aaron Feis,” the tweet read. “He was our Assistant Football Coach and security guard. He selflessly shielded students from the shooter when he was shot. He died a hero and he will forever be in our hearts and memories.”

The shooting at the high school claimed at least 17 lives.

Police have arrested19-year-old Nikolas Cruz in the shooting.
