Troopers: Motorcyclist killed after ejected from vehicle in Anderson Co. after striking ditch

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

SC Highway Patrol Troopers and the Anderson County Coroner responded to fatal collision involving a motorcycle in Anderson County early Saturday morning.

Per troopers, the subject was traveling east on Hampton Road on a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle when the driver ran off the road right, struck a ditch and was ejected from the vehicle. The subject was pronounced dead on scene from injuries sustained in the collision.

The collision occurred at approximately 4:15 a.m. No other vehicles were involved.

Troopers say the subject was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

At this time, the motorcyclist has not been identified.
