ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A fundraiser is planned for the family of a father of six who is hospitalized after a collision.

Casey Brown is in the Intensive Care Unit after a crash that left him seriously injured. Brown and his wife has six children together and he provides the main source of income for the family.

The family's only vehicle was also totaled in the crash.

"Trying to feed a family of eight is a big bill right there," said Youth Director at New Hope Baptist, Roger Mills. "Then you have regular bills that come on after that, so we just want to help out anyway we can."

A family friend is loaning the Browns their car until they can find a new one, but Casey's road to recover looks to be a long one. He suffered a broken femur, broken ribs, a punctured lung and a broken clavicle.

The New Hope Baptist youth group has organized a fundraiser to be held Tuesday, Feb. 20 at the Dog House Cafe in Anderson. Ten percent of sales will go to benefit the family between 5 and 8 p.m.
