ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Anderson County Coroner's Office was called to the scene of a deadly house fire early Tuesday morning.

Dispatch said the fire was reported just after 3 a.m. on Shirley Store Road when a neighbor called 911. Ebenezer, Rock Springs and Broadway fire departments all responded to the scene.

A coroner and the Anderson County Sheriff's Office were also called to the scene. A residence in the 900 block was destroyed.

Coroner Charlie Boseman said a female victim was found in the back bedroom. She was identified as 45-year-old Kimberly Michelle Grant.

Grant suffered smoke inhalation and her death was ruled accidental.

Boseman said there were reports of gunfire around the time of the fire, but said intense fire could cause windows to blow out and sound similar to gunfire. No foul play is suspected in Grant's death.

The fire is under investigation.
