SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County Deputies were at the Fairforest Road DMV in reference to a suspicious package Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies say a DMV employee noticed an older style briefcase sitting on the floor at the station 1 counter.

Deputies evacuated the building as bomb units safely removed the package and determined the briefcase to not have any harmful devices inside of it.

They said the owner came to claim the bag shortly after the Bomb Team conducted an X-ray of it.
