Anderson firefighters respond to fire damaging home

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Anderson City Fire Department was called to the scene of a house fire on Tuesday night.

According to dispatchers, the fire was reported in the 100 block of Shirley Street around 9 p.m. Officials said a stove was left on in the home, starting a fire and causing heavy damage to two rooms.

Anderson City Fire Public Information Officer Lt. Travis Poore said two children and two adults who lived at the home were displaced.

There were no injuries.
