Record-breaking temps continue ahead of weekend rain chances.
Expect afternoon highs to reach the 70s, putting record highs in jeopardy in Asheville (72°) and at GSP (76°). Asheville has already broken the record and GSP is coming close this afternoon.
Afternoon highs will approach 80 degrees Friday with little to no rain around, making for another day of record-breaking February heat!
Saturday brings some scattered showers to the mountains and a small chance of rain in the Upstate as temperatures stay well above average in the 70s.
A cold front will move through the area Sunday, bringing a good chance of rain and possibly a few thunderstorms. That front will stall, meaning some lingering rain is possible Monday as cooler air moves into the region.
Tuesday looks really nice and sunny before some more rain moves in toward late Wednesday.
