Move over, Burger King. There's a new fourth-largest fast food chain

(Meredith) – Taco Bell has dethroned Burger King after becoming the fourth-largest fast food joint in America.

According to, Taco Bell’s sales increased by about five percent, which translates to about $9.8 billion in 2017. One of the reasons for Taco Bell’s popularity is their large selection of cheaper food items, some only costing $1.

McDonald’s, Starbucks and Subway all held on to their first, second and third place spots. Burger King came in at number 5, while Wendy’s, Chick-fil-A and Dunkin’ Donuts came in at sixth, seventh and eighth place.

Rounding off the list was Domino’s and Pizza Hut in ninth and tenth place.
