AUGUSTA, Ga. (FOX Carolina) -

This year when Chasity Foster went to the Magic Kingdom for the Disney Princess Half Marathon, someone very important to her was missing.

Foster's 17-year-old daughter, Shaylin Foster, wouldn't be there to run in this year's race.

Foster said she ran in the half-marathon with her daughter last year and said they jumped in the pool right after they were done. She shared photos of Shaylin before the accident: smiling in a pink princess costume for the race and celebrating a homecoming dance in a sparkly blue dress.

Tragically, Shaylin's life was cut short when troopers said she lost control of her vehicle and collided with another car on Jan. 10.

Foster said Shaylin had already signed up for this year's Princess Half Marathon and even had a costume picked out before the accident.

When Foster arrived at the Magic Kingdom on Sunday, only just over a month after Shaylin's passing, a piece of her daughter she kept close to her heart also disappeared: a necklace containing Shaylin's ashes.

Foster said the necklace fell off between entrance toll area for the Magic Kingdom park and the area where princes stood by for the race.

In less than 24 hours, her Facebook post pleading for help finding the necklace has received more than 6,000 shares and 1,500 interactions.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the necklace is asked to contact Chasity Foster.
