Police: 3 arrested after employee handcuffed, money taken during armed robbery in Henderson Co.

FLETCHER, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Police say they arrested three suspects accused of handcuffing a store employee during an armed robbery in Fletcher, NC.

The robbery occurred on February 17 at the Sunoco convenience store located at 5990 Asheville Highway. 

According to the incident report, the suspects utilized a handgun and crowbar during the robbery.

Officers said the store clerk was handcuffed by one suspect and an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the register.

No injuries were reported.

Fletcher Police arrested and charged the following suspects in connection with the crime: 

Woodrow Osban Massey, 30 of Hendersonville. Charged with: Robbery with a dangerous weapons, second degree kidnapping, conspiracy, and injury to personal property. 

Heather Lynn Sams, 28 of Asheville. Charged with: Aid and abet armed robbery, second degree kidnapping, conspiracy, and injury to personal property. 

Michael Jeramy Payne, 32 of Asheville. Charged with: Robbery with dangerous weapons, second degree kidnapping, conspiracy and injury to personal property.

The bond for each suspect has been set at $750,000 secured.
