(Meredith/CNN) – An intense video of police officers exchanging gunfire with an alleged murder suspect has been released.

The incident began when San Francisco police officers were searching for 31-year-old Joel Armstrong, who was wanted for his alleged involvement in a murder and carjacking on February 16.

The search continued until officers found Armstrong hiding inside an RV the next night.

As the officers approached the RV, Armstrong fired two times from the inside of the vehicle, prompting police to return fire.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, seven officers fired about 65 shots.

Nobody was hit, including Armstrong who exited the RV about two hours later.

He was arrested and is now facing multiple charges.
