A string of sunny but breezy/windy days is ahead before the next chance of rain arrives Tuesday.
Later today, a sunny sky will help temperature reach the low 60s across the Upstate while the mountains see highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.
The main concern today will be the wind – high wind warnings and wind advisories continue for most our area. In the mountains, gusts over 50 mph will be common, approaching 60 mph at times on the ridgetops. In the Upstate, wind gusts over 30 mph will be frequent. Tree/power line damage remains possible!
Frost and freeze concerns will develop both Saturday and Sunday morning, but the afternoons will be nice and pleasant with highs in the 50s and 60s. Some wind will linger into Saturday, but Sunday looks better!
Next week starts dry on Monday, but the next cold front brings a chance of rain by Tuesday. Behind that front, unseasonably cool weather (for early March) will continue with a chance of rain/snow in the mountains.
