GREENWOOD, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Crews responded to an unusual call on Thursday - a fire reported...at a fire station.

Firefighters on scene at Coronaca Fire Department on Willard Rd in Greenwood said the fire started in the station's attic.

Steve Holmes of Greenwood County Fire Service said the station received moderate fire damage to its storage room.

No one was in the building when the blaze began.

Firefighters were unsure what caused the fire. Holmes said the fire didn't appear to be suspicious.

SLED will investigate because the building is owned by Greenwood County, said Holmes.
