Mild days and chilly nights continue the rest of the weekend and for the better part of next week.
After a chilly start in the 20s and 30s, the sun will stay out on Sunday with much calmer wind and highs again in the upper 50s in western North Carolina and middle 60s in the Upstate and northeast Georgia.
Expect another chilly night Sunday night before clouds move back in Monday afternoon, which will be a precursor to our next rain chance Monday night and Tuesday with on and off showers across most of the area.
That disturbance will then usher in even cooler air bringing highs into the 50s in the Upstate and 40s in the mountains with only a small chance at a few high elevation snow showers Wednesday and Thursday morning.
At least the sun will stay out from Wednesday onward, and highs will gradually creep back into the 50s to near 60 with an additional shower or two possible on Saturday.
