Two local men killed in early morning crashes

Two local men were killed in a pair of crashes early Sunday morning. 

The first accident happened around 2 a.m. on Padgett Switch Road. Alabama State Troopers said Thomas Earl Moore, 41, was killed when the 2007 Ford Crown Victoria he was driving left the road and hit a tree. Moore was the only person in the vehicle and was killed. Troopers said Moore was wearing a seat belt.

The next wreck happened around 4 a.m. on Sollie Road near Three Notch Road. Investigators said 49-year-old Stacy McKay of Silverhill was driving a 2010 Toyota Corolla that left the roadway and struck a culvert. McKay was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person in the car.
