Rain is back on Tuesday, then cooler air highlights the weather story the rest of the week.
Temperatures will quickly rebound today into the upper 50s to low 60s with a mix of sun and clouds. Clouds thicken up tonight ahead of the next rain chance, so temperatures will be much more bearable toward Tuesday morning.
Rain becomes likely by Tuesday morning and lasts a good chunk of the day, clearing out by mid to late afternoon. This will hold highs down in the upper 40s to low/mid 50s for much of the area.
While conditions clear Wednesday and become breezy in the Upstate, the mountains of western NC will see a chance of accumulating light snow…especially in the higher peaks.
Thursday and Friday bring colder conditions and a potential freeze both mornings. For now, the coldest morning will be Friday with temperature in the 20s area-wide.
The weekend brings the next chance rain chance, particularly Sunday. At least the first half of Saturday should be dry with rain becoming possible toward the evening. A few storms could mix in by Sunday as well, stay tuned.
