LANDRUM, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg School District One schools said three schools were placed on lockout and one was locked down Monday morning as a precaution while law enforcement was in pursuit of a suspect in the Campobello-Gramling area.

The district said O.P. Earle Elementary, Landrum Middle, and Campobello-Gramling School were placed on lockout.

Landrum High School was put in lockdown mode due to its proximity to the law enforcement incident.

“ We will remain in lockout/lockdown mode until we can be assured by law enforcement that the situation is under control and that no immediate threat exists for our students and staff,” the school district posted on Facebook. “We will continue to monitor this situation. As always, the safety and security of our students is our top priority.”

FOX Carolina is working to get additional information about this developing story.
