Drivers should expect closures on I-85 in Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties as I-85 widening project continues

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Drivers should expect nightly road closures on certain mile markers of northbound and southbound I-85 in Cherokee and Spartanburg Counties through Sunday as part of the I-85 widening project.

Per a release, the closures will be taking place nightly on I-85 N from mile marker 92 to 98 and on I-85 S from mile marker 80 to 96.

The following two other closures were announced as part of the widening project:

Interstate 85 Southbound Exit and Entrance Ramps onto Exit 80 Gossett Rd

Continued closure of the southbound exit ramp and two entrance ramps at Interstate 85 Exit 80 Gossett Road. These ramps will be closed due to construction until April 6, 2018.  I-85 traffic desiring to exit at Gossett Road will detour along southbound I-85 from Exit 80 to Exit 78 and then return to Exit 80 via northbound I-85. Traffic on Gossett Road desiring to enter onto I-85 southbound will travel south on the Sha Lane frontage road to Exit 78/US Route 221 and enter southbound I-85.

Dewberry Road Closure UPDATED DETOUR MAP

Portion of Dewberry Road will remained closed in Spartanburg County, between Exit 80 (S 57 - Gossett Rd) and Exit 83 (SC 110 - Battleground Rd), until March 18, 2018.
