Colder air blasts in for the end of the week. Showers are back toward the weekend ahead of another chilly spell next week.
Scattered snow showers continue in the mountains today with highs struggling to reach 40 degrees. In the Upstate, the sky will have some clouds at times, but with mostly sunny conditions, highs should reach around 50 degrees. Expect breezy conditions toward afternoon as well.
Friday starts COLD - temperature is expected to be well down in the 20s during the morning. The rest of the day will be sunny with highs in the 50s.
Moisture begins to push back in Friday night, and that could lead to a brief wintry mix Saturday AM in the mountains.
Otherwise, expect isolated showers through Saturday with highs in the 50s to low 60s. More widespread rain arrives Sunday, and it is expected to last much of the day.
More mountain snow will push in Sunday night, while the Upstate is looking mostly dry. Highs will be seasonably cool to start next week, but more freezing overnight temps arrive toward Tuesday Wednesday.
