PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

A police report reveals a shocking admission from a suspect in the murder of young mother Jasmine Dunbar.

Dunbar, 21, went missing Tuesday of this week. Her baby girl was found abandoned a few miles away from where Dunbar was last seen.

On Thursday morning, police said that a body found near 107th Avenue and Camelback Road is tentatively believed to be that of Dunbar.

Police said the body was significantly burned.

Dunbar's family told police that she was last seen with her ex-boyfriend, Antwaun Ware. She was reportedly meeting him to take a paternity test.

According to the police report, Ware told detectives that when he picked up Dunbar and her baby on Tuesday, he "had a physical altercation with Jasmine and punched her a number of times with his fist."

Ware told police he left Dunbar in a field near 107th Avenue and Camelback and that: "she was still alive then."

He then drove away and dropped the baby off in a neighborhood near 84th Avenue and Minnezona because "he saw people nearby and believed they would find her and take care of her."

Ware said he then returned to where he left Jasmine.

"He watched as Jasmine burned."

According to the police report, Ware "put a piece of paper on the body and then poured gasoline on her. He then set it afire with a cigarette. Antwaun watched as Jasmine burned and the fire put itself out."

Based on the evidence gathered, detectives were able to arrest Antwaun Ware for one count of first-degree murder, one count of kidnapping, one count of abandonment of a body and one count of child abuse.

Ware has been booked into Maricopa County Jail.

Dunbar's family has set up a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses and for Dunbar's 7-month-old daughter.
