School officials said two West Henderson High students were arrested after making a threat against the school.

In a Facebook post, Henderson County Schools said the students were charged with communicating a threat of mass violence at an education facility.

According to the school district, threat was investigated by administrators and the school resource deputy.

Administrators were able to identify the students that made the threat, school officials said.

"The safety of our students and the school has, and continues to be, maintained at all times," the district said.

Deputies said 17-year-old Gordon Kaster Martin of Hendersonville, and another 16-year-old student, will both be charged as adults and received a $4,000 secured bond.
