Upstate radio host announces candidacy in US House race

An Upstate radio show host wants to be the next congressman to represent South Carolina’s Fourth District in Washington, DC.

Josh Kimbrell announced his candidacy on the Republican ticket Monday at his aircraft investment firm, FX Aviation Capital. Kimbrell hosts Common Cents radio show weekdays on 92.9FM and 660AM.

U.S. Rep Trey Gowdy, who currently holds the District 4 seat, said he will not seek re-election in November.
