ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

The Asheville Police Department is asking for the public's help locating a missing man who hasn't been seen since since last year.

Officers said a relative filed a missing persons report for 50-year-old James Phillip Christian in February. Investigators said Christian, who was last seen in September 2017, is known to utilize resources for the homeless such as AHOPE.

Christian goes by the nicknames "Buddy" and "Lobo." He is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

He has arm tattoos of a cross with the word "rebel," a wizard, and a castle.

Anyone with information on Christian's whereabouts is asked to contact police at 828-252-1110.
