The Greenville County Sheriff's Office said a high school freshman is facing charges after threats of violence were made against a school.

Deputies said around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, a school resource officer at Woodmont High School was notified that a 15-year-old student had made threats against the school, as well as specific students and staff members.

After an investigation, the student was arrested. The student's name has not been released due to age.

The student is charged with disturbing schools and threatening the use of a destructive or incendiary device. No weapons or incendiary devices were found in the investigation.

Greenville County Schools said the student has been suspended and recommended for expulsion.
